Parent Code of Conduct
(a) I shall not force my child to participate in sports against their own will.
(b) I shall remember that children participate to have fun and that the game is for youth and not adults.
(c) I shall inform the Team Manager of any physical or mental disability or ailment that may affect the safety of my child or the safety of others.
(d) I shall learn the rules of the game and the policies of the respective league.
(e) I (and my guests) shall be a positive role model for my child and encourage good sportsmanship.
(f) I (and my guests) shall not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct toward any Club Member, Team Manager, match officials, opponents and their parents/spectators whilst in attendance at any fixture, training session or tournament; which includes booing/taunting or the use of profane language or gestures (this list is not exhaustive).
(g) I shall not encourage any behaviours or practices that would endanger the health and well-being of any Club Member, Team Manager, match officials, opponents and their parents/spectators whilst in attendance at any fixture, training session or tournament.
(h) I shall teach my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence.
(i) I shall demand that my child treat other Club Members, Team Managers match officials, opponents and their parents/spectators with respect regardless of race, creed, colour, sex or ability.
(j) I shall teach my child that honest effort is more important than winning a game of football.
(k) I shall praise my child for competing fairly, and attempt to make my child feel like a winner after each game regardless of any match result.
(l) I shall never ridicule or raise my voice at my child or other Club Members for making a mistake or losing a match or competition.
(m) I shall promote the emotional and physical well-being of all Club Members ahead of any personal desire I have for my child to win.
(n) I shall respect the officials and their authority during games and will never question, discuss or confront a Team Manager during any fixture, training session or tournament. I shall arrange a suitable time to speak to the Team Manager to discuss any matter of concern.
(o) I shall demand a sports environment for my child that is free from drugs, alcohol and tobacco and I will refrain from their use at all sports events.
(p) I shall refrain from coaching my child or other Club Members during any fixture, training session or tournament, unless I am one of the official coaches of the team.
(q) I shall pay all training and match subscriptions to either the Team Manager or the nominated team representative (if applicable) in full as and when requested.
